Barbara J. Dermer

Barbara J. Dermer age 73 of Oregon passed away peacefully at home Sunday December 10, 2023. Barbara was born to Donald and Jean (Coffman) Dusseau on August 1, 1950 in Toledo, Ohio. A 1968 graduate of Waite High School, Barbara went on to study business and worked for 35 years at LMHA as an executive assistant until her retirement in 2011. After retirement, Barbara worked for Dunn Chevy Buick. Barbara was a friendly people person who was generous with her time and talent and never had a bad word to say about anyone. A natural caretaker, she was a wonderful wife and mother who will be greatly missed. Barbara was proud of her Native American heritage and loved to be outdoors. She enjoyed going to Mass, golfing, watching Mud Hens games, and Christmastime.

Barbara is survived by her husband Steve; sons Aaron and Zachary (Ashley Granger); mother Jean Barnes; and beloved dog Okudah. She was preceded in death by her father Donald Dusseau, step-father Donald Barnes and brother Doug Barnes.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S Wynn Rd in Oregon from 2 until 8 p.m. The recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at The Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral 2535 Collingwood Blvd in Toledo on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. where family will receive friends one hour prior to Mass. Memorial contributions are appreciated to the Toledo Humane Society.
