Barbara A. Chapman

Barbara A. Chapman, 68, of Oregon passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg.  She was born on August 11, 1955 in Toledo to Paul and Helen (Pupik) Gregor. Barbara was a 1973 graduate of Rossford High School and began her career as a candy striper at St. Charles Hospital. She worked in many departments before transferring to the pharmacy department becoming a Certified Pharmacy Technician where she worked until her retirement. Barbara was an avid Browns fan and enjoyed watching them play with her dawg bone and bad call brick by her side. She was a wonderful gardener, cook (especially Hungarian and Slovak dishes), loved watching the Waltons, and Christmas was her favorite time of year. One thing that never changed over the years is Barbara’s love for animals and she always had several feline friends in her home to cherish. Above all else, her sons and her grandchildren where her world.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Jason Wagoner and Christopher Wagoner; grandchildren, Bryce, Brandon, Allyson, Andrew, Jacob, Christopher Jr., and Samantha Wagoner; and sister, Toni Knerr; many nieces and nephews and her cats Elliot, Toby, and PeeWee.  She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Brian Wagoner; and brother Michael Gregor.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 4-6:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Per the family's request, interment will be private.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Toledo Humane Society
