Barbara J. Brenot

Barbara J. Brenot, 76, of Walbridge, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at MercyHealth-St. Vincent Medical Center.  She was born on March 28, 1944 in Toledo, Ohio to George and Frances Smith.  Barbara was a 1962 graduate of Lake High School and worked for St. Charles Hospital for 32 years in the insurance verification department.  She married Leo F. Brenot on May 8, 1965 and started their family, having 3 children.  Barbara was an active member of St. Jerome Catholic Church and served as past president, vice-president, and treasurer of the Altar Rosary Society.  In her spare time, she enjoyed camping and spending time with her family.  She will be dearly missed.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Leo F. Brenot; children, Karen (Paul) Obermyer, Leo (Shalane) Brenot, and Paul (Dana) Brenot; 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Larry (Donna) Smith and her brother-in-law, David Baldwin.  She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Georgia Baldwin.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Monday, December 14, 2020, from 2-8 p.m. where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 300 Warner Street in Walbridge with the family to receive guests after 9:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at Lake Twp. Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Altar Rosary Society at St. Jerome Catholic Church.
