Arola "Joan" Kohlhofer

Arola Joan Kohlhofer, age 80, of Oregon, Ohio passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 18, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Joan was born on November 25, 1943 to Edwin and Florence (Braddock) Morgan. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her life and Joan devoted everything she could to show her love and affection.  In her spare time, Joan loved completing puzzles, dancing, and enjoyed reading.

Joan is survived by her children, Tina (Terry) Turner, Vicky (Don) Watson, James (Malani) Baker Jr, and Charles (Kelly) Kohlhofer III; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Harold (Barbara) Morgan; sister-in-law, Sue Morgan; and her former spouse, James Baker Sr.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles “Charlie” Kohlhofer Jr; sisters, Juanita and Florence (Bob) Mulligan; and her brothers, Sonny Morgan and Thor “Mickey” Morgan.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Monday, July 22, 2024 from 2-7 p.m. where services will be held at 7 p.m.  Donations can be made to St. Jude’s or Toys for Tots in Joan’s name.
