Arlene L. Notestine, 79, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Sunset Retirement Village. She was born on April 26, 1936 in Marywood, Ohio to Andrew and Mary Brown. Arlene was a 1954 graduate of Calvert High School and had kept in contact with her classmates. She was a former member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and was a member of Epiphany of the Lord Parish-St. Thomas Aquinas.
Arlene had a gentle, giving spirit and had volunteered with Hospice of Northwest Ohio for many years. She shared her cooking and baking talents with many, enjoyed reading and couponing; but most of all, Arlene cherished time spent with family.
Arlene is survived by her children, Richard (Lauren) Notestine and Norene (Billy) Smith; son-in-law, Glen Dominique; grandchildren, Nicholas Dominique, Bryan Heenan (Fiancée, Allison Fillous) and Alec Heenan; step-grandchildren, Chelsey (Jimmy) Smith and Spencer Smith; step-great-granddaughter, Zoey Boudrie; brother, Donald A. (Karen) Brown; niece, Denise Garrett; nephew and godson, Dennis (Wyla) Brown; nephew, Darren (Sherri) Brown; and stepsiblings, Donna (Sonny) Zoeller, Harold (Roseanne) Reinhart and Eileen Huss. She was preceded in death by her father, Andrew; mother and stepfather, Mary and Emmett Reinhart; daughter, Tonya Dominique and grandson, Brock Heenan.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, on Sunday, December 27, 2015 from 3-7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at Epiphany of the Lord Parish-St Thomas Aquinas Church at 11 a.m. where family will greet guests after 10 a.m. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Calvert High School Alumni Association, Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Epiphany of the Lord Parish-St. Thomas Aquinas Church.
