Antonietta “Toni/Giorgia” Cellura, age 91, was received into the arms of her loving Lord on Monday, August 31, 2015, in Mercy St. Charles Hospital with her loving family at her side. Toni was born on June 12, 1924 to Maria and Severino Romangnoli in Medelana, Province of Ferrara, Italy. She arrived in this country by ship on August, 20 1955 with her three daughters.
Toni was employed at Toledo Hospital for 34 years, retiring in 2008. She loved knitting, crocheting and anything to do with crafts. Toni was a wonderful cook and was employed at several local restaurants. She also loved to make homemade raviolis, pizza, and anything with pasta for her family and friends. Everyone that was acquainted with her loved her dearly.
Toni was preceded in death by her husband, Carlo; parents; brother, Femore Romangnoli; sister, Delser Monguzzi; grandson, Tony Null and granddaughter, Tina Null. Cherishing her memory are her daughters, Nicoletta “Nikki” Henderson, Rita Cellura and Cosetta “Cosy” Duvall; her son, Carlo (Lynzee) Cellura, Jr.; grandchildren, Mark (Cindy) Null, Branden Cellura, Jennifer Duvall, Mary (Scott) Kayser; 16 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren and best friend Jamie Vossen.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd, Oregon, on Saturday, September 5, 2015 from 3-8 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home that evening at 7 p.m. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Toledo Humane Society.
