Anton "Walt" Lamprecht

February 11, 1945 — September 28, 2022

Anton W. Lamprecht, age 77, of Curtice, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.  He was born on February 11, 1945 in Rosenheim, Germany to Anton Sonnemann and Agnes Lamprecht.  After losing his parents as a young child, Anton came to the United State at the age of 13.  Unable to speak the language he learned English and started his own shoe store.  Anton eventually worked for Chrysler as quality control, retiring after 43 years of service.  After retiring, he worked the last 13 years for Meijer’s on Alexis Road.

Anton was a deeply religious man who loved the Lord and preached at Harmony Baptist Church when the pastor was unavailable.  Anton was a natural born artist who was excellent at free hand drawing.  He enjoyed reading about history and was the family history buff.    In his spare time, Anton enjoyed collecting and setting up his train room.  He will be dearly missed.

Anton is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Mary Anne Lamprecht; daughter, Tamra (Billy) Lamprecht-Wozniak; stepchildren, Clyde (Vickie) Shular, Timothy (Connie) Shular, Christopher Shular, and Belinda (Rick) Lutz; many grandchildren, especially Brooke Whiteman; and great-grandchildren, especially, Bentley and Jordyn.  He was also survived by 9 siblings.  Anton was preceded in death by his parents and adoptive parents; stepdaughter, Brenda Ann Shular; and his twin brother who died at birth.
