Anne Shirley Schumann

Anne S. Schumann, 79, passed away on June 20, 2024 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She
was born on December 3, 1944 in Norwich, England to Paul E. and Shirley H. (Osborne) Gibbs. Anne was
previously a telephone operator for Ohio Bell and served as an administrative assistant at Toledo
Oxygen and Bowser-Morner Inc. for 30 years before retiring. She was an active member of St. Paul’s
Evangelical Lutheran Church in Toledo. Anne was a lifelong dog lover and was the co-owner of “You
Lucky Dog” Dog Rescue with her neighbor and friend Jane. She enjoyed playing Bunco with her friends,
was previously in a bowling league, and enjoyed traveling. Anne was close to her mother during her
lifetime.

Anne is survived by her husband David; brother Paul J. (Lynn) Gibbs; sister-in-law Linda Gibbs; step-son
Robert (Noemi) Kerry; step-grandchildren William and Isabella Kerry and numerous nieces and nephews
and many great nieces and nephews. Anne is preceded in death by her brothers Donald L. Gibbs, John
M. Gibbs, and Brian E. Gibbs.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Monday, June 24,
2024 from 10-12 p.m. Services will begin at 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Lake Twp
Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
