Andrew R. Feyes
Andrew R. Feyes, age 87, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Bay Park Community Hospital. He was born to Mike and Elizabeth Feyes in Toledo, OH. Andrew was a graduate of Central Catholic high school and served in the U.S. Navy, during WWII. He worked as a machinist and welder for Sun Oil, retiring in 1985. Andrew was known as a kind and giving man who enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a member of Epiphany of the Lord Parish at St. Thomas Aquinas Church and a member of the Toledo Ski Club. Andrew enjoyed, golfing, bowling and playing tennis. He was most proud of making a hole in one at Sugar Creek Golf Course at the age of 86.
Andrew is survived by his children: Mike (Velvet) Feyes, Jim (Chris) Feyes and Susan Poling; grandchildren: Matt (Tamara) Grube, Dan Grube, Nathan Feyes, Bethany Feyes, Brian (Courtney) Rohr and Samantha Rohr; great-grandchildren: Christian, Tanner, Brooke, Paige, McKenna, Blake, Jackson and Dexter and his brother, Steve Feyes. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Mike, Julius and Jim and sister, Rose.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon from 2-8 pm on Monday, March 31, 2014. A memorial Mass will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor.
