Amadeo Muñoz Sr.

Amadeo Muñoz Sr. age 68 of Toledo passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024, peacefully surrounded by family at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio-Toledo. Amadeo was born to Rumaldo and Maria De La Luc “Lucy” Rosales Muñoz in Pharr, Texas on February 22, 1956. Amadeo was the Owner/Operator of Muñoz and Son Transport which he founded in 2013. He was always a hard worker and loved working with his son. Amadeo was a people person he was very social and loved talking, he had so many nicknames “Chico” by people at work, “Cisco” by his friends, and “Uncle Blaque” by family. He looked forward to family gatherings where he could be found in some rivalry with his brothers usually about sports, he was a lifelong Los Angeles Rams fan. He enjoyed watching football, good food with good company, and his pets, especially his dog Buster, who preceded him in death. Amadeo took care of everyone and was there if anyone needed anything.

Amadeo is survived by his children Christina Muñoz, Debra (James Woods) Richardson, and Amadeo (Amanda) Muñoz Jr; grandchildren Amber Muñoz, Max Carsten, Anastasia Muñoz, Amadeo Muñoz III, Victoria Muñoz, and Perry Muñoz; great-grandchildren Aliannah, Laci, and Laila; sister Daliah Espinosa and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Jessica “Rayvin” Muñoz, parents Rumaldo and Lucy, brothers Eristeo Muñoz, Javier Muñoz, and Alvaro Muñoz, and sister Diana Ramirez.

A memorial gathering will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S Wynn Rd in Oregon, Ohio on Friday, June 7, 2024, from 3 until 6 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. The celebration of life will be held at the Eastside Cantina following the service. Memorial contributions are appreciated to the Humane Society of Toledo to honor Amadeo’s love for animals.
