Alma Vincent, 92, of Oregon, Ohio passed away at her daughter’s home on Monday, June 6, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born on January 2, 1930 in Curtice, Ohio to Edward and Lillian Grosjean. Alma was a 1948 graduate of Genoa High School and married Bob Vincent on August 18, 1948. She worked as a dietary aide at Penta Career Center and Heartland of Perrysburg for many years. She was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church where she served as a greeter and was involved in the Altar and Rosary Society. Alma also was a member of the Christ Dunberger American Legion Ladies Auxiliary where she served as past president. She was an inaugural volunteer at Bay Park Hospital. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, crocheting, reading, cooking, and baking. In her younger years, Alma was active in brownies, girl scouts, cub scouts as a den mother, and band boosters at Cardinal Stritch.
Alma is survived by her children, Carol Metzker, Daniel (Shar) Vincent, Joel (Cynthia) Vincent, Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Vincent, Christine (David) Day, and Constance (Dominic) Trudell; grandchildren, Jennifer Sheetz, Jeremy Metzker, Danelle (Bo) Bryant, Susan Vincent, Dusty (Brad) Vincent Hedeman, Veronica (Tim Hollopeter) Vincent, Ben Vincent, Amanda Hudson, and Katie Vincent; great-grandchildren, Kelli, Nik, Minnie, Vinnie, Dashiell, and Theo; great-great-grandchild; Jailyn. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob Vincent; siblings, Donald Grosjean, Jeanette Fowler, Leonard Grosjean, Willard Grosjean, Wilson Grosjean, and Alvin Grosjean; and great-granddaughter, Taylor.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Monday, June 13, 2022, from 2:00-8:00 p.m. where the rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 212 N. Stadium Rd in Oregon where the family will receive guests after 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Toledo Humane Society, or the U.S. Humane Society.
