Albert T. Minnick, 63, of Woodville, Ohio, passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 29, 2014. He was born in Toledo on February 10, 1950 to Al and Eva (McGinnis) Minnick and was a 1968 graduate of Waite High School. He worked for L.O.F. as a Stationary Engineer and then with Toledo Edison – Bayshore Plant retiring in 2008 after 20 years of service. Al had a sharp mind and always had a fix-it project going on. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and travelling.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cherie Minnick; sons, Troy (Melanie), Tod (Amy) and Alex (Kristine); grandchildren, Samantha, Grady, Gavin, Carly Sue and Alexander; brother, Ken (Ginger) Minnick and sister, Gloria (Tom) Thornton. Al was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings Gary Minnick, Sondra Monnette and Shirley Lowe.
Family and friends may visit from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2014 in the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon where the funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
