Joann (Boisselle) Thomas

Joann Louise Thomas, age 87, of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, April 28, 2023 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo Center.  She was born on March 14, 1936 in Toledo, Ohio to Henry and Ester Strub.  Joann was a 1954 graduate of Anthony Wayne High School.  She worked in accounts receivables for many years at Mellocraft before finishing her career with Midwest Papers.  Joann loved planting flowers in her yard, playing cards, and doing arts and crafts.  She will be dearly missed by her family.

Joann is survived by her children, Robert (Denise) Boisselle, William (Debra) Boisselle, Terri Narges, Tammy (Gerald) Ludwig, and Thomas (Tracy) Boisselle; stepchildren, Frank (Angie) Thomas, Gary (Tammy) Thomas, Teresa (Kevin) Weese, and James (Brenda) Thomas; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and her brothers, Gerald (Wanda) Strub and James (Barb) Harris.  She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Robert Boisselle; second husband, Earl Thomas; and her brother, Albert Strub.

A memorial gathering will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 from 5-7:00 p.m. where a memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

Although we miss her, she is not gone from our hearts, or our memories.
