James Dale Adams

James (Jim) Adams went to join his beloved wife Judy on her birthday October 22, 2023 peacefully at home with family. Jim was born to Gene Sheilds and Marilyn Iona (Thiessen) Adams in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 28, 1952. He was a 1971 graduate of James Madison High School. Jim and Judy were married on August 17, 1972, she preceded in him in death on March 23, 2017. Jim served our country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. When he returned from service, Jim worked at the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Plant for 34 years before his retirement. He held various positions during his time at David-Besse and retired as a project manager. Jim was known as Radar O’Reilly by his coworkers and he could always be counted on for answers to questions and a good laugh.

Jim is survived by his son Jason (Kelly) Adams; daughter Terri (Larry) Bresler; grandchildren Deven Schneider, Amelia (Josh) Gumpf, Katie Kovacs, Cody Allen, Justin and Michael Bresler; great-granddaughter Mary Jane; sister Candace Schmidt-O’Dell; brother Jeffery (Maureen) Adams; and many nieces and nephews. Along with his wife he was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S Wynn Rd in Oregon Ohio on Saturday October 28, 2023 from 2 until 4 p.m. A memorial service for Jim and his wife Judy will be held at 4 p.m.
